Loved our Florence Free Tour – Tale! Our guide Anna was awesome — super enthusiastic and knew tons about the city. She made the whole tour so fun and interesting, and you could tell she really enjoys what she does. She gave great explanations about the main sights in the historic center and even shared a few cool stories we wouldn’t have heard otherwise. Would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Florence — such a great experience!

Highly recommend. It was a really interesting tour and our guide Chiara is a very good story teller. We were captivated throughout; she had so many facts to share with us. You can look at beautiful buildings, but to know the history of why they were built, brings them to life. Bravo 👏 After the tour, we were given lots of ideas of places to visit, so we tried the cafe with a view, as suggested, and we were not disappointed 😀

Yesterday, I took a walking tour in Florence with Riccardo—and as someone who’s a bit of a veteran when it comes to walking tours across Europe, I have to say this was one of the best I’ve ever experienced. And no, I’m not exaggerating. Let me explain why. Everywhere in Europe (or really, the world) is steeped in history. It takes people years to specialise in certain aspects of a region’s past—let alone attempt to condense the history of an entire city. Florence is no exception. It’s one of the oldest cities in the world, layered with stories upon stories. So to design a two-hour walking tour that manages to give you a meaningful introduction without overwhelming you is an incredible feat. That’s where Riccardo truly shines. He’s created a clever narrative loop that introduces you to Florence in a way that’s light enough to follow but substantial enough to stay with you. Every stop on the tour ties into the next, and by the end, it all connects beautifully. The content isn’t overly academic, but it’s curated so thoughtfully that it enriches your entire visit—because now, you have context. And context, in a new city, is everything. So if you’re in Florence and want a tour that gives you just the right amount of history to get your bearings—and still leaves you excited to explore the city on your own—start here. This is the perfect way to get your feet wet before diving in.
