Rita was an excellent tour guide. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for her historic city of Ravenna came through on the tour.
Linda

Elena (sp) was very knowledgeable , professional and personable. She had a rich background in the subject matter and an enthusiastic presentation. We enjoyed 3 of the 5 ticketed sights together, then were encouraged to visit the other two on our own. All of the churches were exquisite in mosaics and history. Beautiful choices for our visit and a beautiful city.
Julie

We had a fabulous tour with our guide, Elana. She shared her love of Ravenna, it’s history and of course the beautiful mosaics and their stories. Elena explained the process of making the mosaics as well and we were treated to a stop at a local mosaic maker for an explanation and demonstration of the process. Highly recommend this tour.

We had the BEST time cooking with Silvia in her beautiful home. She was exceptionally accommodating when our train delayed our arrival. She was welcoming and patient as we learned new skills. Her organization skills made the experience run smoothly and made it so relaxed and enjoyable. The meal was delicious and we all look forward to trying the dishes at our home. This has been the highlight of our tour of Italy and we would love to return to Ravenna to experience more of the city.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the mosaics in Ravenna with Silvia. Her knowledge was excellent and she was so friendly. Touring with her was the best way to see and understand the sites.

We had a wonderful experience discovering the remarkable Ravenna with Silvia Giogoli. She met us exactly on time and for the next 3 hours we were treated like special guests with skip-the-line privileges to all the sites we visited. The mosaics are awe-inspiring, and so is her knowledge. Her pace was perfect - and she was sensitive to our vibe and our interests. She designed the best first experience in Ravenna by starting at Sant'Apollinare Nuovo and finishing with Gallla Placidia right before the grand finale of the Basilica San Vitale. We even stopped by a mosaic art studio and chatted with the students who were creating their own masterpieces. It was truly an enriching day and Silvia topped it off by letting us in on the secret of where to eat and to be sure to try the fichi caramellati (caramelized figs) with squacquerone cheese! Wow! Don’t hesitate to book her tour. She is a delight and makes you feel like you’re hanging out with an old friend.

Silvia is the way to go person in Ravenna if you want to learn about the history of Ravenna. She also offers a homemade pasta course which is a very nice experience. You can choose if you like to learn using the traditional mattarello or how to use a pasta machine. We had so much fun that we have forgotten the time. Thanks for this experience, Silvia!
