Experience Authentic Dublin on a Private Hidden Pub Tour

Discover the true spirit of Dublin on a private pub tour that takes you beyond the well-known tourist spots and into the heart of the city’s authentic pub culture. In Dublin, pubs are far more than places to enjoy a drink—they are living institutions where history, storytelling, music, and everyday life come together in a uniquely Irish way.

This experience leads you to traditional, character-filled pubs that locals actually frequent, each with its own personality, history, and atmosphere. Far from the busy tourist hubs, these hidden gems offer a more personal and genuine glimpse into Dublin life, where conversations flow easily and every space carries its own story.

Along the way, you’ll experience one of Ireland’s most iconic traditions: the perfect pint of Guinness. Learn what makes it special, why technique and patience matter, and how locals appreciate it as part of a deeper pub culture rather than just a drink. The experience often unfolds alongside Irish music, friendly conversation, and the famous sense of “craic”—the lively, warm energy that defines social life in Ireland.

These are the pubs where history and modern life sit side by side, where writers, musicians, and locals have gathered for generations, and where every visit feels like stepping into a continuing story. This tour offers more than just a night out—it’s an immersion into Dublin’s identity, its people, and the traditions that make its pub culture world-renowned.

Kicked off our trip through right way – 10/10 Would Do Again! We did the Rural Pub Tour with Shane as part of my brother in law Jason’s 50th birthday weekend, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about it. From start to finish, it was so much more than just a pub crawl — it felt like being welcomed into the real heart of Ireland. Going to smaller, more local pubs instead of the usual tourist spots made the whole experience incredibly special. We got to chat , laugh and soak up the kind of atmosphere you just can’t manufacture. Shane was an absolute legend of a guide! He kept the energy high and the vibes immaculate. It never felt rushed, never felt cheesy, and he had our group of twelve laughing all night. What made it even more special was how perfectly it fit our celebration. For a milestone birthday, this was exactly what we wanted: authentic, joyful, hilarious, heartwarming, and full of moments we’ll be talking about for years. We laughed nonstop, toasted to 50 incredible years, sang, made new friends, and left every pub with another story to tell. Thank you, Shane, for making Jason’s 50th birthday weekend truly unforgettable. This was hands down one of the highlights of our trip, and we would book it again in a heartbeat. If you don’t like having fun, making memories, and meeting great people — this is not the tour for you. 😄 If you do — book it immediately. Sláinte! Meaghan O’Connor from NY

This pub tour was exactly the "real Ireland" experience I was looking for. Shane was absolutely wonderful! He was funny, knowledgeable and engaging. He took us out into the suburbs to 3 quaint pubs. We tried new spirits, chatted with locals, learned some fun history and even got to experience some wonderful music. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get out of the city and experience the small town atmosphere of Ireland.

I had such a great time on this pub crawl, which included 6 great pubs (some with live music). The guide has such a fun, hilarious personality, and it was neat to see him interact with his friends and locals in the pubs in an area where he was born and raised. The food at the third pub was also excellent. I highly recommend this tour and would absolutely go again.
