Begin your tour at the Plaza del Triunfo by the Cathedral, where you will be introduced to the rich history of Sevilla. Here, your guide will explain the significance of the Archivo de Indias, the 12th-century main mosque, and the Alcazar, providing insights into the city’s Islamic and Christian heritage. A short 100-meter walk takes you to Puerta del Perdón and Alcaicería de la Seda, a 12th-century indoor Muslim market, where you can learn about how Sevilla’s citizens lived during the 500 years of Islamic rule. This area offers a fascinating glimpse into the cultural and economic life of the city during a pivotal period in its history.
From there, continue to El Salvador to explore its 9th-century Aljama Mosque and the original main dock from Roman times. This historic site is not only rich in architectural and cultural significance but also provides a perfect opportunity to enjoy a traditional “tapa” and drink in an authentic abacería, an ancient tavern that has retained the charm and character of old Sevilla. This stop combines history, gastronomy, and local culture, giving visitors a full sensory experience of the city’s past.
Before concluding your journey, visit Santa Catalina to learn about the mudéjar architectural style, a unique blend of Arabic and Christian influences that is characteristic of much of Sevilla’s historical buildings. The final highlight is the Metropolitan Mushroom, a modern architectural marvel, where you can step up and take in the spectacular skyline of the city. From ancient mosques and markets to contemporary landmarks, this tour offers a comprehensive exploration of Sevilla’s history, culture, and architectural diversity.

I cannot recommend this Seville Tapas Tour with Elio highly enough!! We had an added challenge with our family group of 5 because one of us had mobility challenges. Elio contacted me a week or so before the tour and when I explained the challenge, he made me feel completely at ease by telling me how he was planning the stops to make it all doable for our party! The 5 stops were so thoughtfully selected and as Elio said at the start of the tour "I want you to feel like you are hanging out, eating with a friend, at the places we eat at in Seville". We felt exactly that way. Elio also never rushed the tour, and was so knowledgeable about every restaurant, and all the food we experienced. You can also tell that this is not just any touristy food tour. Elio brought gifts to the establishments that hosted the tastings, and you can tell there's a mutual respect and friendship with each stop we had. Warning - this is LOT of food so go very hungry!!!! We can't wait to come back to Seville and will be recommending this tour to any of our friends that visit.

We chose an evening Tapas tour with Elio and we were very pleased. Smaller venues off the beaten track with food & drink chosen to give an insight into Seville tapas. There was plenty of food and it was great quality. A good balance of fun and some useful education into iberico ham, cheeses, wines and sherry. The atmosphere throughout was friendly and inclusive. Genuinely feels like an evening out with friends. Recommended.

Elio was a great food guide. We learnt about the grading of Iberian ham and visited tapas bars we would never have found on our own. Not only did he inform us about food, he also talked about Sherry and how important it is to the town of Seville. We finished our tour in a small bakery where everything is home made. Delicious. Thank you for a brilliant time Elio.

Elio took my wife and I on a tour around Sevilla on our anniversary and it was a great way to spend it! Elio was a brilliant guide, a proper local and extremely knowledgeable. Everyone around the town as we were walking around greeted him as a friend so we knew we were in good hands! All the food we had was amazing, and it was very interesting to learn about the local produce. The tour was worth every penny several times over.

STOP! Before you read another “food tour” review for Seville, you need to understand that this one is different! My husband and I have done plenty of tours and without question this was the best! Elio was amazing. His love and passion for his city and its food was so evident. We constantly passed people in the street who he greeted. The food we had was authentic and plentiful. Elio’s knowledge about every aspect of the food and wine was unbelievable. We enjoyed him and the tour so much that we have already eaten at 3 of the stops we made. Book your tour with Elio, you will not be disappointed.

Voucher for a visit, but expensive for the quality of the service.

Our guide Marcio was incredible. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and obviously enjoyed his job. This was a great tour that showed the highlights of Sevilla and included history about the Moorish influence. If you love history, you’ll love this tour. Marcio also gave recommendations for the next leg of our trip, which was super helpful. Cannot recommend it enough! ☺️
