Our holiday journey in Detroit begins at Astoria Bakery, a local favorite in Greektown known for its irresistible baked goods. Here, you’ll sample some of the city’s best donuts, made fresh daily, along with other festive holiday treats that capture the spirit of the season. From there, we head near the Shinola Hotel to enjoy expertly crafted coffee and creative desserts in a neighborhood that beautifully blends Detroit’s industrial heritage with modern flair. Tucked behind the hotel in Parker’s Alley, discover a boutique chocolatier crafting unique, holiday-themed confections in this revitalized urban gem.
Continuing the festive adventure, we visit Cannelle, a French-inspired patisserie where exquisite holiday pastries highlight Detroit’s elevated culinary scene. The tour concludes at Campus Martius, the vibrant heart of downtown, where the city’s rich history meets its modern energy. Here, you can soak in the holiday atmosphere, enjoy the seasonal decorations, and savor your final treats, making for a memorable and delicious way to celebrate the holidays in downtown Detroit.

Brian

I usually don't complain, but I had a dining advantage coupon for 50% off for no more than $5 off. I redeemed the coupon right in front of the man working there and for some reason the coupon code didn't show up and you only have 10 minutes to redeem it once you click on it. I showed him that it was redeemed on Christmas and he still wouldn't do it. I get donuts from here on Christmas usually, but I won't be anymore. Very frustrating considering it is Christmas and it clearly showed that I just redeemed it on 12/25/2024 and did it right in front of him.

Wonderful little place, great stop for a quick breakfast sandwich and donut. Woman working there was very personable and polite :-)

Wonderful old school service with a smile and attention to detail, best doughnuts EVER , breakfast sandwichs , hamburgers and cold cuts are fantastic and so reasonably priced. It is the only place in the downtown area I visit consistently. First time I went , I returned about 3-4weeks later and the sweet lady working in the early am not only remembered me but also, what I had ordered to drink as well. WOW I thought that's incredible and have gone there ever since for my inexpensive breakfast

You get what you pay for, but for the price? Cannot beat it. Just a classic solid breakfast sandwich and solid donuts. The lady was also super friendly. Hidden gem
Al

My favorite breakfast sandwich in downtown Detroit. I’m always treated so warmly whenever I come in. Definitely one of my favorite things about going to the office
