Pedal through the charming backstreets of the Thonburi district, far from the usual tourist routes, and experience the city as locals do. Along the way, you’ll explore peaceful temple grounds, hidden courtyards, and quiet neighborhoods where daily life flows at a slower pace. This ride offers a unique perspective of Bangkok’s culture, history, and architecture—one that most visitors never see.
Your journey continues along scenic canal paths, passing traditional Thai homes and lush greenery that give you a taste of the city’s rural charm. One of the highlights of the ride is a stop at Bangkok’s tallest Buddha statue, an awe-inspiring sight located right beside the water. I did Bangkok Experiences Bike Tours-Backstreets and Hidden Gems tour with Candbike Bangkok Tours. I come to Thailand every year and I've done a lot of bike riding in Thailand. However this tour went evet deeper. You got to see the back streets and Tommy the guide was both extremely knowledgeable and funny and made the whole experience enjoyable. If you want to get to see the back streets of Thailand and enjoy being on bike, there's no better way.

It was a very nice bike experience! It gives a chance to see the real Bangkok life in places that you never go in „standard” tourists’ agenda. Dan is a very good guide and the tour is excellent to take part in it if you only can ride 15-20km in 35 Celcius 🙂 I recommend it truly!

I recently joined the Candbike Bangkok tour, and honestly, it’s the best bike tour I’ve done in the city — maybe even one of the best I’ve done anywhere. It’s an incredibly complete and well-organized experience that lets you see Bangkok from a completely different perspective. The starting point is easy to reach, located near BTS Pho Nimit in the Thonburi area. From the very beginning, everything felt professional and friendly. Our guide — a super kind and cheerful Thai girl — spoke excellent English and explained every stop with passion, from cultural details to fun local stories. She made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. There was also an assistant riding behind the group to make sure no one got lost, which made the whole experience very safe and relaxed. The tour lasts about five hours and combines cycling with an unforgettable long-tail boat ride through Bangkok’s canals (khlongs). That boat ride alone lasted more than an hour, and it was amazing to see how local people live along the waterways — kids swimming, people feeding fish, monks collecting alms, and colorful houses built right above the water. It’s a side of Bangkok that most tourists never get to see. Throughout the route, the guide made several stops to offer us cold drinks and water, which was a life-saver in the Bangkok heat. We also made a stop at a local market, where we had time to walk around, taste some local snacks, and see how daily life unfolds away from the tourist crowds. The group was small, which made everything feel personal and easy to follow. One of the nicest surprises came at the end of the ride, when they took us to have a delicious local lunch — all included in the price. The food was authentic and full of flavor, a great way to wrap up the day. Some people might find the price a bit higher than other bike tours in Bangkok, but after doing it, I honestly think it’s worth every baht. You get high-quality bikes, plenty of drinks along the way, a long scenic boat trip, a good meal, and an excellent guide who makes sure you truly understand the city. And unlike other tours that just circle the same tourist areas, this one takes you deep into real Bangkok neighborhoods — quiet backstreets, hidden temples, and small communities most visitors never reach. Overall, Candbike Bangkok Tours is a five-star experience — friendly, well thought-out, and full of authentic moments. If you want to explore the real Bangkok in a fun and active way, this is absolutely the tour to book.

The experience was very great. You get to explore the other side of Bangkok. You get to pass by roads passing thru houses, temples, canals, railroads. You get to be greeted by locals too! Our guide Tom is very knowledgeable about the areas we passed by. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes as this is definitely a workout. According to my watch, we traveled approximately 15kms for this tour.

I highly recommend this bike tour. The places they take you are areas you simply wouldn’t be able to go to without an extensive knowledge of Bangkok’s back routes and hidden gems. Much of the time you’re biking through narrow roads where on either side of you are doors of Thai homes and they happily greet you as you go past. Not to mention you see several beautiful temples on this route with nice photos. I would definitely do this again
