Our tour guide Sam was informative and very clear. We started at the ‘Council’ building and then walked to the lace market. The lace market factory buildings (now a college) were beautiful and Sam provided an excellent history of the area. The St Mary Church was free to visit and worth a quick visit. We also went past the National Justice Museum and City of Caves. We walked past 3 of the oldest pubs in the city and ended our tour by Nottingham Castle and the statue of Robin Hood. Our weather was dreadful (pouring rain), however even with the poor weather I would definitely recommend. The walking was easy and could be done with a wheelchair although you would have to push up hill at some points.
My tour of Nottingham was excellent. Sam is very passionate and informed about the city and was happy to answer any questions that arose. We were a group of 3 in total so it felt very personalised and Sam was able to stop and give us time to take photos and enjoy the surroundings. It was a very cold morning and Sam was also aware of the needs of the group .
