Definitely the cliffs and rock formations are astonishing. And the entire tour was even made more informative and memorable with our guide ISA. I am usually the kind of person who does not like to read but loves to listen to history and general information about the place I am visiting. And ISA knew a lot of things about CAMINITO DEL REY. The entire experience is all worth while.
I personally didn't visit but I dropped my family off. They thought it was amazing and you can do it a lot quicker than the estimated times stated by the organisers. They were able to progress at their own pace. The feedback was they would recommend to others.
This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. Caminito del Rey is absolutely stunning from the very beginning. Mountains, emerald-green rivers far below, dramatic cliffs, and breathtaking views from a great height. There are so many unique natural landscapes that are hard to describe with words. You really have to see it yourself. I would especially like to highlight the work of the guides. Their level of professionalism is outstanding. I know that many people are afraid of heights and hesitate to join this hike, but in reality the route is extremely well designed. All the paths are solid, stable, and feel completely safe. There is no sense of danger or stress at all. Even people with a strong fear of heights feel calm and supported because the guides are very attentive, patient, and respectful. You feel protected throughout the entire walk. The hike is not physically demanding and does not require special fitness. It is suitable for older people and for families with children, as long as the children are not too young. The whole experience takes place in a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The guide keeps the mood light with great jokes, interesting stories, and constant support for the group. In the end, it feels like much more than just a walk. I loved everything about it, and the experience was absolutely worth every cent. One more practical detail that may be useful. There are three parking areas before the route, and if you arrive by car, you can choose any of them. At the end of the hike, there is a shuttle bus that takes you back to any of the parking areas. The ticket costs 2.5 euros, so no matter where you leave your car, getting back is easy and convenient. Also, right at the entrance to the route, there is a vending machine with drinking water in 1.5-liter bottles. So if you accidentally arrive unprepared, you can buy water on the spot before starting the hike.
Well magnificent view and beautiful sunset during the trip. Recommend as tourist to join a trip to visit this place because there is no official entrance for the canyon and the drive way up to the hill is not easy. After 3 hours nonstop walking it really worth it
This is one of the best hikes we have done since we have been traveling full time 18 months ago. The views were spectacular and it helped that it was a beautiful sunny day. It was very busy however they space the groups up so you are not cramped on the walk and there are lots of opportunities for photos! We went with a tour group; the guide stopped a couple of times on the path to give us some history/information about the area etc. however we did not have to stay together while we walked and could stop when and where we wanted to. The path is very safe and is more like a walk than a hike so there is no concern if you are a little bit out of shape. You are high up if you are worried about hikes but you can hug the mountain side and hang on to a cable if you need to - there are spots were you can stop that are off the trail as well. We would do this trail again and highly recommend it!
Loved the amazing view! We went without a guide (although we bought the tickets with a guide), still a great experience and we finished our hike faster than a group with a guide. I don't believe he's crucial for a hike. I suggest to come way more earlier since the parking situation is really problematic here.
