Brilliant experience and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Stirling. David is knowledgeable, funny and such a character! My only complaint is that we didn't have longer to hear more stories!

The Happy Hangman was very entertaining and kept the whole group engaged from start to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour, especially getting to see parts of Stirling I hadn’t come across before. The stories were a great mix of spooky and funny, and the performance really brought the history to life. Brilliant value for money. I’d highly recommend it to both visitors and locals!

We had an absolutely fabulous time on the ghost walk around the cemetery near Stirling Jail. Our guide, David — dressed brilliantly as The Happy Hangman — was the perfect host for a night of eerie tales, dark history, and unexpected laughs. David’s energy was infectious. He masterfully blended humour with chilling historical facts and brought the past to life with dramatic flair. His knowledge of Stirling’s haunted past was genuinely impressive, and his ability to engage the whole group — from curious kids to seasoned ghost tour veterans — made it an unforgettable experience for everyone. The setting around the old cemetery added the perfect atmospheric backdrop. Between the ancient gravestones, moonlight shadows, and David’s animated storytelling, we were completely transported. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Stirling, this ghost walk is a must-do. Entertaining, educational, and just the right amount of spooky — David’s tour is one you won’t soon forget.

Another brilliant performance from 'David', who entertained us all from start to finish, during both the Stirling Jail tour and the evening Ghost walk. My husband and I, did this same tour 2 years ago and this time we had the opportunity to enjoy with our family. David is an outstanding actor and storyteller, who draws you in from the moment he speaks. Add to this, a spectacular back drop, a theatrical costume and so many interesting stories, you can tell how passionate David is. Thank you again for presenting 2 such amazing tours and for signing my husbands book (written by you), which was another 'highlight' for him. We can 100% recommend both tours, if you want to be entertained and learn something along the way, don't hesitate to book. Thank you David and we're catch you again on our next visit to Stirling. 👻

We had a fab experience on the tour with David. He was full of entertaining tales and had a comedic way of telling spooky tales. We took our 2 kids, aged 5 and 8 and our 8 year old was well immersed in the stories, whereas our 5 year old became a little clingy, but still braved the journey holding onto me closely. None the less it was still a fantastic thing to do while we were visiting Stirling. David the tour guide, who is dressed as a Hangman, who choked to death on a chicken bone, looks amazing in his costume and with his props. The sites are amazing to explore and the dark of night makes it extra spookily entertaining. The tour can be tweaked for people with disabilities, but we didn't give David prior knowledge to our arrival and booked the tour with David on the spot last minute, so because I had a mobility scooter David considered the best route to take, but I was adamant that I was fine to walk around the route that David had already planned. David checked that I was okay at keeping up with my walking stick as halfway through the tour I parked my scooter and went through the graveyard on foot. He made an effort to make sure I was okay throughout. Despite staying in character he still focused on peoples safety on uneven ground. What a great experience, we would definitely recommend it. A huge thank you to David. We met him first as the Hangman and then again 2 days later in the Old Jail where he took us on another thrilling journey, this time through the history of the jail. He's brilliant at what he does, you're sure to enjoy the experience 😊 we certainly did!
