Highly Not Recommended The doorman at the entrance was extremely discriminatory toward Asians. Even though we clearly had a reservation, they refused to let us in to confirm and made us wait outside in the wind. The staff’s attitude was arrogant and dismissive once they saw we were Asian, but they warmly welcomed Western-looking guests. Absolutely terrible service. We ordered the three-course set, but honestly, everything tasted bad. The steak was large, but the doneness was poorly controlled—they didn’t even ask how we wanted it cooked, and it came out almost well-done and very dry. The cheese on the side of the salad was also unpleasant—what a pity. The waiters inside the restaurant were enthusiastic, and the interior decor was decent, but the doorman was awful, and the food was nothing special. Definitely will not return.

I visited Rick’s Café today for my birthday, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable evenings of my trip. I ordered the beef filet with buttered spinach and mushrooms, and it was cooked perfectly—tender, flavourful, and beautifully presented. For dessert, I had Rick’s cheesecake, which was absolutely amazing. The staff made the moment even more special by surprising me with a birthday wish and a candle on the cake. Their warm hospitality genuinely touched me and made me feel celebrated, even though I was travelling alone. The ambiance, the service, and the food were all exceptional. I left with a full heart and a huge smile. If you’re in Casablanca, Rick’s Café is definitely a must-visit—especially for a special occasion. ❤️✨

We are a romantic pair who love to travel, and although I wouldn’t have flown to Casablanca solely to visit this nostalgic icon, the moment we found a cruise stopping here, I booked lunch without hesitation. I’m so glad we did and thank you to Sara who stepped up at the office to make this happen. We began with the local oysters, they are size one, beautifully fresh, but certainly not for the faint-hearted or first-time tasters. We then shared the lamb special, and I say this without exaggeration: it was the finest lamb we’ve ever eaten. For dessert, we enjoyed Rick’s cheesecake and their take on an apple tart, both absolutely delicious. Everything was accompanied by Champagne cocktails, an excellent Moroccan red, and a touch of French Champagne to finish. It all came together perfectly. A final word of thanks to our waiter,Sifedeene, who looked after us with grace, warmth and genuine care. His quiet professionalism added so much to the experience, and we’re grateful for it. We leave with full hearts and wonderful memories. Rick’s Café truly lived up to its legend.

Wonderful experience. Was so busy. Reservation recommended or you might not get in if too busy. Service was fantastic. Food was amazing. Prices reasonable. Would return if back in Casablanca. Highly recommend even just for photos and the experience.

Rick’s Café absolutely lives up to its legend. The service was wonderful, friendly, attentive, and relaxed. We arrived late and got lucky with the room nearly to ourselves, which made it feel extra special. The staff let us go upstairs to take photos, and every corner feels like a scene from Casablanca. From the arches and piano to the décor and lighting, they really got the movie details right. The live music tied it all together with soft piano and classic tunes that set the mood. Whether you go for dinner, cocktails, or just the atmosphere, it is a must-visit in Casablanca.
