Two Full Days of Epic Tours! While traveling to Madrid for a wedding, my husband and I plus another couple relied on Private Madrid Museum Tours to take us to nearby cities Segovia, Avila and Toledo for full day tours. Our guide, Hernan Satt, was amazing. His knowledge of the cities, the customs, the art and the food made both days delightful. It was like we were immersed in the most enjoyable college classes ever...and yes, there were a few "pop quizzes" to keep us on our toes! All great fun. Hernan was thoughtful, respectful and friendly. One person in our group was hindered by knee issues and Hernan made sure to accommodate that person as much as possible all while delivering a first-class tour. His driver was very discrete and helpful. Beautiful, comfortable large vehicle for transportation. I highly recommend this company's services and if you are fortunate enough to get Hernan as your guide, you will learn a vast amount and enjoy every minute!
If you are looking for an expertly curated ‘off the beaten path” experience that blends art, history and culture, I highly recommend MMTours! My husband and I love Spain and have been to Madrid several times. While we have our ‘go-to’ restaurants and clubs, we love new cultural and culinary adventures. We took our first MMTour with Mr. Satt about 10 years ago – it was the Prado and Toledo tour with our college age sons. We all loved the private, day long tour. The Prado visit was focused on works relevant to Toledo, and Mr Satt provided a historical and artistic perspective, then we traveled in a luxury SUV to Toledo, where Mr Satt provided a guided city tour, picking up threads of what we had learned in the art from Prado. We then had an unbelievable lunch of regional cuisine. Our sons, who frankly had not been looking forward to the tour, loved it, and we all agreed it was the highlight of the trip. Therefore, when we were in Madrid for a few days last month, we made scheduling a tour with MMTours a priority. This time we chose the rural culinary tour and it was AMAZING! We visited the summer royal palace of Aranjuez, which was spectacular, and all the more special because it felt like we were the only people there – so unlike all the crowds of Madrid we’d just left – further, with Mr Satt we were able to access parts of the palace not normally available to visitors which were simply stunning – we felt like VIPs! From there we visited a museum dedicated to the work of Ulpiano Checa in Colmenar de Oreja that Mr Satt thought we would appreciate, and he was right! Mr Satt’s curated tour including the artist’s unique story was wonderful. The pinnacle of the experience was the multicourse gourmet meal we enjoyed at Paza Mayor de Chinchon. Truly gourmet, there were at least 15 courses of incredible Spanish cuisine – we lost count! – accompanied by wonderful local wine. It was, without question, the best meal we’ve ever had. All aspects of the tour exceeded our high expectations. If you enjoy unique experiences that combine history, art, culture and cuisine, this tour is a must! I can’t wait to be back in Madrid for our next adventure with Mr Satt and MMTours.

My wife and I didn’t know what to expect ahead of our personal tour of Toledo. We only knew that our friends recommended hiring them. Our experience was far beyond anything we could have imagined. Not only was the tour, with Hernan, rich in details about Toledo history, but was also very relevant to us personally regarding both of our family's Jewish heritages. Then, he surprised us with a fabulous lunch at a gorgeous restaurant and later with a breathtaking view of the city for some coffee and pastries. We highly recommend hiring his tour company whether you're traveling as a couple or with friends. It's well worth the experience.
Our family recently enjoyed an incredible week in Spain, starting in the Basque Country and ending in Madrid. We decided that having a guide to tour El Prado would greatly enhance our experience and had a particular interest in learning more about Velazquez and Goya. My husband had intended to book a tour before our trip but did not, so he called Private Madrid Museum Tours on our arrival to Madrid. PMMT made a special accommodation, calling us back promptly by telephone and setting up a Velazquez/Goya tour the next Friday morning. Our guide, Hernan Satt, a retired history professor, is truly a memorable personality. Hernan was engaging and entertaining beyond the likes of any museum guide we have ever had (and we have toured several famous museums in Europe using highly regarded museum tour services). We learned so much - Hernan managed to weave history, personality, story-telling, and true drama into all the paintings we saw. He even held the attention of our 2 twenty-something sons for almost four hours, no small feat. During our trip, we were truly taken by the generous spirit of so many Spaniards. Hernan, it was a great pleasure to meet you, learn from you, and experience art in such a captivating and witty way! BRAVO PMMT!
