Edit: You copy-paste response, I am already familiar with, but it doesn't change why it's so expensive. I feel like you don't realise that even just lowering the price 25-50%, you would most likely receive 2-3x and more amount of visitors, that won't just stand outside taking pictures. Beautiful exterior... but honestly 23€ a ticket for supposedly a pretty small interior.. do they just want to limit visits on purpose. I stood there for a good 30 mins and seems like only 10 % of people actually pay to enter. Most stood outside, or went to the ticket prices, and left again. I'd love to support the work, but the ticket should be half the price easily, then it would also get so many more visits.
This was my first time visiting a historic site like this, and I'm so glad I made time for it. The building is full of intricate details and ingenious design solutions for its era. While the rooms share a common style, each one felt unique. I was particularly impressed by the ceilings—they're truly stunning. I'd give it a 5-star rating and highly recommend a visit. It's a bit further out, so you shouldn't have to worry about long lines and can easily buy your tickets there.
This was a wonderful historic site. They did an excellent job restoring two floors of the home. The tour is self guided so you can explore at your leisure. They have multilingual audio tour you can enjoy as you enter each room. It was sad to see that the upper floors were painted white and no effort was made restore them.
A lovely outing overall, though I must admit I expected a bit more from the interior. That being said, what remains of the original structure has been beautifully restored and really showcases the historical charm of the building. The preserved architectural details are impressive and clearly maintained with care and respect for the building’s heritage. While the interior space may be somewhat limited in terms of exhibitions or furnishings, it still offers a unique glimpse into the past. It’s definitely worth a visit, especially for those interested in architecture or history. Even though the experience inside was a bit more modest than I had anticipated, I still truly enjoyed the stop and would recommend it to others looking for a short but meaningful cultural visit.
If you’re in Barcelona and want to truly immerse yourself in the local culture, Casa Vicens is a must-visit. This was Gaudí’s first major work, and the architecture is absolutely stunning, vibrant, detailed, and unlike anything else. I went on a public holiday and, surprisingly, the place was nearly empty, which made the experience even more special. It gave me the perfect chance to explore at my own pace and take amazing photos without the crowds. The audio guide is available via your phone and really enhances the visit, offering great insight into the history and design of the house. Highly recommend adding this gem to your Barcelona itinerary!
