Engin was a delightful guide, and gave us a great insight into the history and culture of Izmir. He has a wealth of knowledge about travel overall, and the local food scene. Despite some heavy rain (typical for an Izmir autumn), we had a brilliant time, and highly recommend it.

Had an outstanding experience with Engin on the Food Tasting Tour in Izmir. We were arriving on a cruise and decided to hire Engin for a private food tour. He asked about dietary restrictions ahead of time, as well as interests for shopping. We met promptly at the agreed upon time and location and started an amazing day. Engin took us to so many locations to experience traditional turkish food and each was better than the last. We started with coffee and breakfast and worked our way through pastries, cheeses, fish, salad and the list goes on and on. Engin was also very interesting and informative of Turkish history and his personality was so pleasant. When it came to shopping he was helpful with bargaining as well. If you want to have an amazing experience in Izmir, don't hesitate to hire Engin for a day.

Last week my family and myself went on a food tour with Engin. We had a brilliant experience tasting lots of different foods and learning lots about Izmir specific specialties. There is no doubt surrounding Engin's knowledge, nor is there any doubt around the quantity and quality of food experienced on the tour. Engin also sends around a list of the foods you tried which is a nice touch and without I would be unable to highlight a few of my favorites' parts : Keskek - A wheat and meat stew Karadut Serbeti - Mulberry Drink Izmir Bomba - Cookie with chocolate inside Sambali - Izmir local dessert As you can tell I have a sweet tooth but there was lots of savoury options also ! Highly recommend this food tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour with Engin. His passion for food and people was quite evident, as he was a very gracious host and very knowledgeable and excited to share his favourite foods with us. We enjoyed many different dishes and drinks during our tour through the bazaar. We would never have sampled all of these different dishes without his expert recommendations. Highly recommend this tour!

We learned and experienced so much at This food tour with Engin. He definitely had the shops/restaurants picked according to their specialties and after a thorough explanation of the options we were able to pick the item that we wanted. We did this for cheeses, deserts , grilled meats, soups , etc. Engin answered our questions and added some interesting foods that we questioned. We really got a feel for the Izmir market present and history of. We ate soo much and finished with a traditional Turkish coffee overlooking the local mosque over the courtyard of the han. Would recommend but come hungry and open minded
