Absolutely spectacular experience. Very friendly and welcoming people that figured out how to preserve their way of life on the river by allowing a limited number of tourists to spend some time with them.

Truly enjoyed the experience. Clean river. Kind and loving people.

A 'must visit' while in Panama. Great ride up the river with a fun walk through the forrest to a waterfall followed by more riding the river to the village to learn about their history and culture. Lunch provided and a great opportunity to support the community's economy with a selection of artisanal crafts. Just bring cash.

******* Not enough stars to rate this place. This was the most enjoyable day of our 21-day-long tour through Costa Rica and Panama. The Embera are such a wonderful, pleasable, hospitable and welcoming indigenious tribe. Although you can purchase many handmade souveniers over their they are never ever pushy or asking for anything. You have the chance just to walk through, having a look while having small talk with them. The lunch was very delicious. Awesome what they are able to create in a simple kitchen. We felt very comfortable all the time. We are sad that we just had a day trip instead of an over night stay.

I took my girls 7 and 12 and they like it. We stayed for one night and it was a nice experience. The Vera people is very friendly and the food was good too.
