This is a outstanding Cathedral which you would expect. We had a guide to take us around and learned quite a lot in a short space of time. Very polite staff and eager to please. The Cafe is a worth a vist nice food if a little expensive. A very relaxing space tbh and we are not religious. As all Cathedrals are interesting this one had a few extra bits. We spent a weekend and a couple of days / evenings here at events and just a wander definitely worth a vist.

We regularly visit the Cathedral for Luxmuralis events. These events are one large music and visual art installation held not only inside the Cathedral but outside with projection displays shown on the main facade. It is enables the Cathedral to look absolutely stunning and absolutely beautiful. The Refectory Cafe inside the Cathedral is a lovely, vibrant setting adjoining the gift shop. There is plenty of table and booth seating provided with an excellent selection of hot and cold food, cakes, pastries and biscuits to suit everyones taste. A variety of hot and cold beverages are available along with ice cream. The staff are friendly and efficient. Clean toilets are provided along with disabled and baby changing facilities. Nice and clean and well maintained.

The chapter housed the magna carta and had boards you could walk around with which explained what all the carvings were, what a great idea. We stayed about 2 hours because of parking but you could spend all day there. The price of admission allows you to visit as many times as you want for 12 months.
