Greenwich is a charming and historic area of London, renowned for giving its name to Greenwich Mean Time, the standard by which British clocks are set. This vibrant borough is home to several notable attractions, including the Cutty Sark, a historic clipper ship, and the Maritime Museum, which offers fascinating insights into Britain’s seafaring heritage. Visitors can enjoy the unique atmosphere of Greenwich, exploring its streets, learning about its history, and experiencing the maritime culture that has shaped this iconic area of London.
A highlight of Greenwich is the Greenwich Meridian, an imaginary line representing 0° longitude that passes through the borough and extends from the North Pole to the South Pole. This meridian forms the basis for the world’s standard time zone system and provides a unique opportunity for visitors to stand on the line dividing the eastern and western hemispheres. Another must-see attraction is the Cutty Sark, the world’s only surviving extreme clipper ship, which exemplifies the pinnacle of 19th-century ship design and was celebrated as one of the fastest ships of its time. Touring these sites offers a fascinating glimpse into history, navigation, and maritime innovation.

Greenwich Fan Making Craft Tour, led by the founder of 'Fan The Glory With Tori': Victoria Ajoku. This amazing tour and workshop fan activity is definitely a 'one of a kind' experience that I have not seen done before. Such a unique, fun, memorable and overall 'well put together' time we had. Victoria is absolutely a delight, vibrant, friendly and fascinating, as she is both an knowledgeable, experienced tour guide, as well as a professional award-winning fan making tutor. All sites we visited were marvelous, an incredible blend of history, art and insight into the stories behind the architectural making processes of the murals and sculptures that we saw. I couldn't believe that so many creative spaces and artworks exist within Greenwich Peninsula, which I didn't know about before. I really liked how the fan class worked as a refreshing and liberating way of designing our creative inspirations on a canvas that we could keep as a souvenir of the day we had. The fan session got me using my hands again. In addition, I thoroughly enjoyed the tasty lunch in which we had a variety of eating vendors to choose from. I will surely re-visit the Greenwich Peninsula area again with more friends (well done Victoria, for shining a new light towards this part of Greenwich). I highly recommend everyone around the world to do so too, by booking via 'Greenwich Royal Tours'.

First visit to London from US - had a great experience with our tour guide, Mike! Fun and informative Shakespeare-themed tour of the Globe theater and nearby portions of South Wark.

Greenwich Fan Making Craft Tour by Victoria Ajoku: founder of 'Fan The Glory With Tori'. This unique experience led by the Tour Guide and Fan Making Teacher: Victoria Ajoku was absolutely excellent! Victoria is so passionate and fun! Within the day, you start with a lovely walk around the Greenwich Peninsula & Design District, with Victoria who reveals fascinating information about the history of the area, including the public contemporary murals/artworks that appear along the way. During the walking tour, Victoria encouraged us feel inspired by the public sculptures we saw on each stop, and to think of the Peninsula area as 'our canvas to create on' (we learnt that in many ways, this was how the architects who had built on the Peninsula, have also related this space to their craftwork/s). After a splendid lunch (included on the tour), from food vendors we got to choose from, we then made our way to a craft making venue to get creative via a 'hands on' workshop. I valued hearing about the history of fans and discovering how the collaboration of Greenwich Royal Tours and Victoria is a major and positive movement, ensuring the practice of fan making progress forward, as the art of fan making is a critically endangered craft in the UK. I throughly enjoyed designing my own hand-fan as a bespoke, inspirational souvenir of the area and tour experience as a whole. I appreciated and admired how the fan making workshop is for all levels and abilities. So many colourful memories, I greatly recommend this tour.

We had the best intimate tour with Susannah today! She gave us some great information about some hidden gems of Greenwich as well as making sure we hit the highlights. I highly recommend this tour!

We took the Law in London tour . The tour was very informative and went beyond just a law tour. Our guide, Mike, threw in a lot of London history. The private tour was worth the time and money . Thank you Mike for a great day. Don and Nancy Wietmarschen
