Explore the Arctic wilderness with Bliss as the guide meets clients at the designated meeting point in Pyhä or Luosto. After a warm meet and greet, clients are taken to a suitable location for a theory workshop on Arctic nature and survival skills. Discover both traditional and contemporary techniques as Bliss’ survival instructor introduces essential gear, including Arctic sleeping bags, mats, clothing for extreme cold, and various stove systems. Learn about the materials’ suitability for harsh environments while enjoying a nutritious yet light meal.
Step into the wilderness on snowshoes and put your skills to the test. Weather permitting, the survival instructor will demonstrate how to build a quinzee, a traditional snow shelter made by hollowing out a pile of settled snow—a proven method to survive the Arctic night. Clients will have the hands-on experience of constructing their own quinzee, which can take a couple of hours per group. Finally, follow the Bliss guide back to civilization, carrying newfound Arctic survival skills and unforgettable memories.

We had a great experience with Alive Outside for our daughter’s 8th birthday party. The staff were amazing - really helpful in assisting us both in the run up to the party and on the day. The kids absolutely loved Lauren and all the activities they got involved in. Especially the toasting marshmallows!! They all said it was a fantastic party! We would 100% book again and would absolutely recommend.
We had my daughter's 12th birthday here and did the Irelands Fittest Family inspired courses. The girls had a great time and were really pushed to their limits. Dean was a great instructor and made it really fun for the girls. He focused on it being teamwork rather than competitive between them and it was lovely to see them working together and helping each other. Would definitely recommend it although it's not easy.
My daughter celebrated her 9th birthday at Alive Outside with 11 of her friends. She opted for the 9-13 (obstacle course) party. The children were all at various levels of fitness and daredevilry, but the crew were fantastic and catered for all abilities. We loved the party area too (we whizzed up to Dominoes to collect pizzas while the kids were busy on the course). One of our party guests had an accident in the party area, and the staff were amazing. They administered first aid, checked him over thoroughly and had him laughing through the ordeal. I was so impressed by how they handled it, and felt they went above and beyond, especially given the accident didn’t even happen on the obstacle course. In summary, a great party, and a great crew. I’d 100% recommend.
We had a fantastic morning taking on the Hell & Back course. From start to finish the 130 children ranging in age from 8-12 were guided by the brilliant staff from Alive Outside with plenty of encouragement, enthusiasm, water and the odd plaster provided with ease. All mentors, parents & children had a great experience and can’t wait to do it all again!
