A journey from Kathmandu into the remote western Himalayas leads to one of Nepal’s most rewarding long-distance trekking routes, the Manaslu Circuit Trek. The route begins in the lowlands of the Gorkha District, where terraced fields, river valleys, and diverse ethnic communities—including Brahmin, Chhetri, and Gurung groups—shape the cultural foundation of the region. As the trail follows the Budi Gandaki River, trekkers pass through deep gorges, suspension bridges, and cascading waterfalls, with landscapes shifting from subtropical greenery to alpine wilderness.

Throughout the journey, the skyline is framed by towering Himalayan ranges, including Mount Manaslu to the west and distant views toward the Ganesh Himal and the broader Annapurna region.
