I had to take an early flight out of Malpensa so I booked a room at the Sheraton there. The location is perfect, just steps away from Terminal 1. My room was large, clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I like soft pillows, which I don't always find at hotels where I stay, but the ones here were perfect for me.
This place is quite convenient. Get off the train and walk 1 min to the hotel. Not bad. The hotel has a fully equipped 24 hr gym to get your late night or early morning workout in 💪 My wife ordered room service and it took 70 minutes to arrive so make sure to plan ahead for food. The room was nothing special but very comfortable. Bathroom had no fan so that could make for a stink box situation, and for $350 USD a night you’d think they’d have more than instant coffee 😅 Look, I’m complaining a bit here but I just want you to know what you’re getting into. Extremely convenient, except for maybe the 10 min walk down the extremely long hallway, rolling suitcases on thick carpet, but I just thought of that as my workout warmup routine 💪 There’s a pool area that closes at 10 and there’s a restaurant And bar. I was super happy I didn’t have to get a cab after getting off the train.
Reception person was, kind, professional and helpful, what a great employee! I wish I would have remembered her name as she is an asset to your hotel. Room was better than expected and received a room upgrade without asking as a Titanium Lifetime. Bar staff was fabulous! Can’t beat the location which made our early morning flight much easier than staying in the city!
The rooms and location are excellent. BUT I was extremely disappointed in the service at the Monterosa Bar. A 40 minute wait for a simple dinner order (people next to us were served in 20 minutes). My dinner was fine, my wife’s was cold. No explanation. When I complained I got a “sorry” and then the wait staff avoided us. I complained again at check out the next morning and got a nice email saying we’re sorry, we’ll do better next time. We paid cash for dinner but they easily could have offered and refunded half our 49 euro dinner cost to our hotel bill, but apparently “sorry” should be sufficient. It’s been over a week and I’m still annoyed enough to post this review.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! I wish every single airport had a hotel on sight. Highly recommend for arriving and leaving Milan. Being able to leave the front door and be at the airport is phenomenal. As someone who has major flight anxiety we were able to walk around and find out where the tax return machines were, where we check in, and where the gates are. It made it VERY EASY when we actually had to fly out at 6am. Beyond happy we stayed here before our flight out.
