Our honeymoon at JW Marriott Masai Mara was honestly one of the best experiences of our lives. From the second we landed, Christina met us right at the airstrip with a welcome drink and a big smile. Every single person there made us feel like family from day one. The lodge is unreal. Luxury tents with huge decks, outdoor showers, a hot tub and views that look straight out over the river. Every night we came back to a warm bed (literally, they put hot water bottles in it) and it just felt like home in the middle of the wild. Our guide John was amazing. Super patient, knew everything about the animals, and you could tell he really loves what he does. The Canon photography team, especially Felix, were next level. They came out with us on game drives, showed us how to use pro cameras, and even gave us edited photos after. Didn’t expect that at all. Food was unbelievable, all fresh and from their own gardens. The whole place runs on a near zero-waste system which is crazy impressive being so remote. Every person there, Abel, Nachil, Wash Wash, everyone was so proud and genuine. It’s more than just a fancy lodge. It’s peaceful, wild, and kind of life changing. If you’re looking for the best safari lodge in Kenya, stop scrolling. This is the one.

When we knew we were returning to Africa, we were so excited to see the Masai Mara. As Bonvoy members, we couldn't wait to use points and try the new lodge. But never did we expect the bespoke level of service and hospitality. Our guide Paul led us each day with such care and knowledge. Our bartender, Victor, made us at home when we returned. Elias our server was so friendly and attentive and Michael our room attendant was there to take care of our every need. The minibar was crystal decanters of our favorite drinks. The spa was stunning and the food was off the charts. And dont forget the hippos at the pond that greeted us everyday. Absolutely magical.

We stayed at the JW Marriott Masai Mara for five nights in August and it exceeded our expectations in every single way. When we arrived, we were told by the team that they wanted this place to feel like our home away from home. Wow, they really delivered on that. By the end of day 1, we immediately started dreading for the next day to come because we didn’t want the day that we would have to leave to come so soon. We felt so at home. The lodge was so comfortable and equipped with everything you could think of. It’s incredible how they were able to build this in the middle of no where. We didn’t even have time to go to the pool or gym. The spa was lovely. Our room was perfect, it was so spacious and comfortable, we loved it. We were able to feel well rested every morning from how comfortable our room was. The food was fantastic. It definitely exceeded our expectations and we definitely ate a lot more than we should’ve haha. We still miss that JW omelette for breakfast every morning with the healthy and delicious smoothie. The team here is what made this place so so so special in a million different ways. They made this place feel like home for us. It started at the front desk with Cheryl, any time we had any questions about our stay or scheduling, she was always there ready to accommodate and help us. It was so great seeing her everyday and sharing what we saw on our drive that day. Francis - our safari guide, wow, Francis is so much fun to go on drives with, he is so knowledgeable and experienced with the land and the animals. We loved how passionate he is about showing tourists the beauty of the Mara and the animals, he loves his job and more importantly, he loves and respect the animals and the land. We really appreciate that. Francis would ask us everyday what we would like to see that day and he would try our best (often very successful) to make that come true. Nash was our room attendant and she did an amazing job keep our room clean and comfortable. It was so nice coming back to our room after dinner to find hot water bottles in our beds and the lovely thoughtful note she had written us. Patrick and Eric made sure that every meal was perfect and that even our next meal order was already thought of to ensure as seamless of a dining experience you can could think of. Doctor Victor, and Richard made sure we had the most amazing cocktails you could think of. Also thank you to Moses for setting us up with the Canon camera that allowed us to capture those close ups of the beautiful animals. There are so many more names and individuals we want to mention but that list would never end because truly everyone there played a role in our fantastic stay. It was a stay of a lifetime. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the entire team at the JW lodge. You guys made our stay incredible and one that that we often talk about and have such fond memories of. Thank you for your kindness, warmth, and hospitality. We will be back!

I want to thank this amazing place for one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. The JW Marriott Masai Mara was truly unique—an unforgettable journey I will carry with me forever. The property is stunning, offering everything you could wish for to enjoy an incredible stay. From the guides to every single member of the lodge, the service was warm, thoughtful, and remarkable. A very special thank-you to our wonderful guide Fintan, who made our first safari both beautiful and exciting. And heartfelt thanks to everyone at the lodge, especially Hassan for his attention and to my dear friend Elias, for his exceptional care!! This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we cannot wait to return soon.

Our time at the JW Masai Mara Lodge was absolutely incredible!! Mike & Liz were fantastic guides and worked really hard to give us an amazing safari experience. We got to witness all of the big 5 except for the rhino and got to see a large wildebeest crossing. We got excellent photos and appreciate the camera service. The property is also spectacular - beautiful tents and common areas. We also participated in the activities offered including archery and a village visit. It was so great to experience the local culture. The food and drinks were great. We enjoyed seeing Nicherwa at the restaurant each day and Victor was a fantastic bartender / great to chat with. Overall, the staff is absolutely amazing. Everyone we met from the front desk to housekeeping were so welcoming and kind. A top notch experience we will remember for a lifetime!
