This in my opinion is a great excursion when taking a cruise. Super refreshing cave and the guide let us do alittle swimming before leaving (the area we swam in was at least 8 to 10 feet deep).
My mother and I were on a Carnival Cruise visiting Belize. I did my own research looking up excursions outside of Carnival to have some fun. I had some apprehension about going with a separate company, because if you don't make it back to the ship on time, Carnival will leave you behind. From the very beginning, months before actually taking the cruise, I called direct to the people that tour the Cave Tubing as well as the Zoo. The staff were more than friendly from the very beginning and helped me to relax and not worry. The only advice might give, wear tennis shoes or something like that because it is a little bit of a hike to get to wear the caves start as well as walking back to the company van.
What a terrific experience. We tubed through 4 caves, nice and slow and relaxing. Absolutely stunning to experience. The drive from the airport to the tubing is over an hour - and you have to hike between 30-60 minutes to get to your starting place (depending on how many caves you do).
