My daughter and I went on a mother/daughter vacation with 5 others and I’m soooo glad this was one of our excursions. It was so exciting to harvest our own food for the cooking class, see the animals in the area, taste cacao fresh off the tree, and stay actively engaged in the entire process. The food was amazing, and the staff was very friendly, helpful and informative. I’d definitely recommend this cooking class!
Excellent food, the service, taste and the theme they offer everything is fresh from their Finca/home is wonderful. Love it!! find it by accident. If you want to eat authentic Costa Rican food La Finquita from Farm to Table is the place to eat. To get here you might think you got lost but trust google maps. Definitely a must stop when coming to La Fortun. See you next time!!!
Fabulous restaurant in beautiful setting on the original Finca farm which is now a nature reserve, organic farm and restaurant. We went here after the waterfall and volcano walk but you can go without being on a tour.
Had a great time doing the cultural dinner tour! We loved harvesting our food and preparing our meal while interactive with Chef Christina, Marco (guide), and Oscar. We made a lovely dinner with seasonal vegetables, chicken, and cassava and plantain chips! If you're into cooking, I'd highly recommend it.
We walked to this place from the center and were grateful to meet the owner there. We did not have a tour booked and we just wanted to come try the food. We enjoyed a typical breakfast, nice coffee and then were able to wander around the property to see the amazing wildlife including a frog , a young Sloth and many birds. This place is very peaceful. It must also be lovely to take cooking lessons there !
