We stayed in the Winter Palace Pavillion in November 2025, for 2 weeks. The head gardener does a tour on Monday and Friday mornings. The gardens here are beautiful and old. The additional information from the head gardener Mahmoud is needed. Interesting and fun. We got to smell and taste the plants with the guide. The Pavillion is not the same as the old winter palace but the share the gardens and pool. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The sanctuary of the hotel is required at times. Especially if you find the city and people interacting with you too much. We have enjoyed our stay and the peace, tranquility of the hotel has been a good resting place after museums and tombs. Alan and Anna I am updating this review as first written halfway through and not everything experienced. We are now on our check out day and I would like to make my thanks expressed to all the staff at Winter Palace (& Mainly The Pavillion) Luxor. I wish I could name check everyone but I would need to have longer to learn people. Thank you to Saber and Abdul for looking after us pool side, with their team, Mamdouh Abd Al lkader and Abdul Arhkman et. al. .. thank you to Asherif (pool bar/Restaurant boss) Mohammed (? Number 5), Ahmed, top thanks to Khalid (bar pool service and many more sorry if I have not your name. The team inside the Pavillion. Thanks to Mohammed on reception and many more of you on reception for helping me when I needed.. The room staff were great and catered for us and our needs. We visited the Winter Palace while in Luxor. Though we did not stay in the hotel, we’re given a tour of beautiful facilities by one of the hospitality interns. The hotel is beautiful beautifully decorated with many photos of important events and statutory from Egyptian minds. We enjoyed the barbecue buffet in the gardens. The food was excellent, with many choices of grilled meat, side, dishes, and desserts. The garden themselves were gorgeous, with manicured Ron’s and trees marked as that we were in a botanical garden. It was a wonderful experience and I’d recommend the Wintergarden buffet for visitors to Luxor seeking a luxurious experience.
This hotel has a terrific balance of luxury and style, with rooms beautifully and tastefully decorated with period design and furnishings. The grounds are expansive with an amazing variety of trees, flowers and shrubs. Walking on pathways that wind through these grounds is a peaceful experience providing an opportunity for quiet private conversations or personal reflection. The pool provides space for swimming lengths (laps) or more casual swimming. If you want to have a place close to the action in Luxor that allows you to escape to an oasis of peace and quiet with top level service following a day busy with activities look no further.
Drink and food : TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT IS. The Winter Palace WAS a beautiful place mostly because of the kindness of the people working there. Today they increase their prices for a very normal service taking advantage of the come back of tourists. Don’t waste your time. If you want to get a beer , a meal or a cocktail, you’ll find much better around.
A stay in timeless history. The Winter Palace really is a place of timeless elegance with its beautiful decor and attentive and friendly staff team. The location overlooking the banks of The Nile over to the Valley of the kings is perfect. Our room (a prestige suite) was perfect. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
