Very industrial and run down. Too far to walk to anywhere. Guaranteed you will have to arrange transportation or an excursion.
Not very visitor friendly. Lots of confusion about shuttle buses being allowed near the ship-- for along time only one bus allowed at a time, including tour buses. It was a mess for the passengets and I'm sure even a bigger mess for the crew. I felt Casablanca really didn't want us there. I wish our driver spoke English to explain what we were seeing during 3 hour ride through the countryside. He was, however, an excellent driver. The tour guide in Marrakech was good and took good care of us. Enjoyed Marrakech and could have stayed longer but our ship wanted us back.
