This tour is designed for history enthusiasts, nature lovers, and travelers seeking an authentic Moldovan cultural experience. Your private journey begins with a visit to Soroca Fortress, one of Moldova’s most iconic medieval landmarks. Built in the 15th century by Stephen the Great, this impressive stone fortress stands as a symbol of resilience and defense, overlooking the Dniester River. Walking through its walls and towers allows visitors to step back in time and uncover the stories of battles, rulers, and the strategic importance this site once held in protecting Moldovan lands. The fortress is not only a historical monument but also a breathtaking vantage point offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.
From there, the tour continues to Cosăuți Monastery, a spiritual sanctuary nestled in a peaceful setting along the river. Known for its tranquil atmosphere and beautiful architecture, the monastery offers a glimpse into Moldova’s religious traditions and centuries-old monastic life. Visitors can admire the intricate details of the church, learn about its significance in Moldovan Orthodoxy, and enjoy the serene natural beauty that surrounds it. Together, Soroca Fortress and Cosăuți Monastery provide a rich blend of history, culture, spirituality, and nature, making this full-day tour an unforgettable experience into the soul of Moldova.

The view is amazing. You can see the whole city of Soroca from this spot. But beware, you’ll have to walk up like 600 steps, and it is quite tiring. On the way to the candle, there are a few spots to stop and take a breather, also the steps are marked at each intervals of 50. Overall, if you are a tourist, i definetly recommend you to stop by the candle and enjoy the scenic view of the river Nistru and its surroundings.

Oh not for me hiking this much high. One of the most significant buildings in the history of modern Moldova. The Candle of Gratitude" rises above the waters of the Dniester river with a great view. From the river to the top of the hill 613 steps lead up to the bell tower which is a 29.5 meter long candle. This "candle", built on a rock on the outskirts of Soroca city, is towering over the river Dniester and is classified as one of the most important buildings in the history of our modern Moldova. If you are so active and healthy, then try your luck of hiking

An impressive monument from 2004 that commemorates the heroes of Moldova and the lost culture. You can reach the monument by car driving on broken roads through the villages or you can climb around 600 steps. From the monument you can see Ukraine. A must visit of Moldova in my opinion (and free entrance)

Wonderful place, wonderful view, it's worth it going down the stairs, that have 657 staircases. The Thanksgiving Candle was lit up/opened on March 27th, 2004, so it's not to old. Would recommend a lot, because it's a whole new world in Moldova, only if you'll ignore the litter.
