This is an unique district in the Republic of Moldova. Here you can see different massive houses built by the Gypsies. Most of the houses are unfurnished but there are a few that have very nice architecture and look nice. We had quite a short walk there so we haven't managed to admire and discover all of the buildings.

Special place, arhitectural masterpieces, must see! Better on the car, otherwise you will have to walk on a steepy hill.
Gioia

I liked this place. It's a hill full of mansions builted by the Romanì community. They already had normal houses but decided to built these great mansions only for beauty. Eventually they finished the money due to the economical crisis, so the mansions were abandoned (the most of them while in construction). So, despite the most of houses are falling apart, the general aspect of the neighborhood (or the city, as they claim) is still evocative and very peculiar.
Nathaniel

Interesting place with lots of abandoned mansions! Beautiful buildings with no traces of life. Even many of the buildings that look like they are still intact have their curtains drawn and no cars parked outside.
Shachar

Interesting area of Soroca with about dozen abandoned mansions
