This enriching experience begins right at the entrance of the Accademia Gallery, where you will meet your expert guide to uncover the story of Florence’s most iconic symbol Michelangelo’s David. Delve into the history behind this masterpiece and understand its significance in the context of its time. How did Michelangelo, the genius of the Renaissance, capture the essence of humanity in the marble form of David, and how does this figure of strength and grace embody the values of Florence? Your guide will also share insights into Michelangelo’s other remarkable works, such as the Pietà and the unfinished Prisoners, offering a rare look into his artistic process, his vision, and his ability to immortalize figures in marble.

After the guided portion of the tour, you will have free time to explore the gallery on your own and enjoy lunch at your leisure. Take this opportunity to appreciate the art or relax in one of Florence's charming cafes.

The second part of the tour invites you to stroll through Florence's ancient streets and uncover over two thousand years of rich history. This walking tour provides a perfect introduction to the city's origins, from its Roman foundations to its prominence as the heart of the Renaissance. Explore historic landmarks such as the Ponte Vecchio, the famous Uffizi Courtyard, and Brunelleschi's groundbreaking Dome, which dominates the city's skyline. You will also visit the Baptistery, home to the renowned Gates of Paradise, a masterpiece by Lorenzo Ghiberti. These iconic doors, with their intricate bronze panels, are an essential part of Florence's artistic heritage and a testament to the city’s golden age.

This immersive tour is the ideal way to discover Florence’s most treasured works of art, explore its captivating history, and deepen your appreciation of one of the world’s most culturally significant cities.

We had the radio and everything and were just about to go in to the museum when my partner realized he had misplaced his ticket. Nobody would do anything to help us even though we had an email confirming it etc it all meant nothing. The tour guide and the people at the museum were so unkind it really broke my heart and totally ruined our trip to Florence.

We had the tour of the Uffizi with Irina, which she did with a lot of enthusiasm. We learned a lot from her and had a lot of fun! I can recommend this tour with a clear conscience!

We took the tour of the Galleria dell'Accademia with Olga Emchenko and can highly recommend it. Olga captivated us with her enthusiasm for art history and shared many interesting details about Michelangelo and his work, including his famous work, the David statue.
