It was a really fun and exciting experience! The track was thrilling, and driving through the Indonesian jungle made it unique. Lunch was included, and we enjoyed a lovely meal by the pool overlooking the rice fields. The facility is clean and elegant. A great alternative in Bali for those looking for something different beyond the standard tourist tours. Definitely a must-try for adventure lovers! I was there in June;)
Please read before booking! My experience at Jungle Buggies was disappointing and stressful. I want to share this so others can make an informed decision. First, be aware that the company does not offer insurance for the buggies — you are 100% liable for any damage, regardless of the circumstances. After being assigned a buggy, you're taken to a garage where a safety video is shown. While informative, the video includes multiple clips of people crashing, which made me uneasy from the start. Once the video ended, I was directed to my vehicle and followed a guide onto the course. The terrain was extremely difficult to navigate — narrow paths, tight turns, muddy and rocky roads, unexpected bumps, and even areas that appeared to pass by homes or villages. I didn’t feel this level of difficulty was clearly communicated upfront. Less than halfway through my first lap, I nearly lost control several times. On the second lap, I lightly grazed a wall, and a mechanical part (possibly an axle) broke. I was told I would be responsible for the nearly $200 repair cost. What surprised me most was how quickly the guide focused on the vehicle, not my safety. I was also asked if I wanted to continue my final lap with a new buggy — and warned that if I crashed again, I’d have to pay again. In my opinion, the course requires advanced driving skills or prior off-road buggy experience. I believe the risks are significantly understated in the initial briefing, and the terrain could be made safer or better explained. I was told by the guide that crashes happen frequently, which made me wonder if this is a common issue. While some may enjoy this activity, I personally found it risky and not transparent enough for first-time or casual drivers. Please research and ask detailed questions before booking.
Did their jungle buggies and it was a great experience. Definitely recommend. We had so much fun. Buggies have go pro that you can buy it’s footage afterwards. It guide was a very nice guy. They’ve got nice restaurants to enjoy a meal too. Definitely recommend
Good experience, had troubles with our first side-by-side but told them and they promptly took care of it with a machine. I have one at home much higher powered and experience driving them in our forest. This is great for inexperienced drivers and for those with wives like mine who are afraid to go fast and give err. The price includes lunch that had good taste and place is overall clean
Awesome experience. I've raced our built most things with a motor but this was some cool fun, a nice tight, windy track that keeps you on your toes every step of the way through some very beautiful scenery. The staff were awesome & fun. The venue itself with the infinity pool, chocolate factory, restaurant etc where you can lounge around is just perfect. I recommend the 3 laps but you need to know how to drive & how to steer with the rear wheels as well as the steering wheel. You'll need Targa rally skills for this one, otherwise get them to drive you & you'll have just as much fun.
