This private Sahara tour is designed to showcase the breathtaking beauty of Morocco, beginning with a departure from your accommodation in Marrakech. The journey takes you across the stunning High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, offering panoramic views of dramatic landscapes along the way. You’ll then leave the main road to explore the legendary Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, the oldest and most iconic Kasbah in southern Morocco, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a guided walk through its historic alleys and fortified architecture, enjoy a delicious lunch in Ait Ben Haddou before continuing your journey deeper into the Moroccan heartland.
From there, travel to the famous “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs” – the Dades Valley – where dramatic gorges and traditional mud-brick villages define the scenery. The adventure continues as you make your way to the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga, where an overnight stay in a desert camp under the starry Sahara sky awaits. Here, you’ll experience the magic of the desert’s tranquility and vastness. On the return, drive through the lush palm groves of the Draa Valley, completing a tour that perfectly blends Morocco’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and the unforgettable charm of the Sahara desert.

We were super happy with the whole tour. The organisation and communication with Jouidi beforehand was easy, clear and very friendly. On the first day of the tour our guide Tariq picked us up in Marrakech at our hotel. Tariq is just amazing! He is very friendly, attentive and reliable. Throughout the whole trip he showed us a lot of interesting spots and gave us many great insights about the culture. Tariq found the perfect balance between being there and giving us space to explore on our own. This was especially important for us as we were traveling as two women alone. We felt very safe the whole time. The tour was taylored to our needs as we decided to stay 4 days instead of 3. This was perfect for us because we could spent more time in the desert. A camel ride was included in the tour. We decided to do an additional quad tour for 50€ p.P. which was amazing and so much fun. Tariq organized everything with the locals who offered the activities. We spent one night in the mountains in the hotel "Ksar Sultan Dades" and two nights in the "Africa Luxury Camp". It was magical and we can recommend 100%. Everyone we met was very friendly and open to us and we are so thankful and appreciate it so much that we could experience the country in such a great way. THANK YOU!!!

What a wonderful adventure! Our faithful and patient shepherd Mohamed, and the group at Morocco Desert Camps (Jouidi), allowed our family to experience so much more of this beautiful country and its warm and generous people than we could have possibly managed on our own. The itinerary is ambitious, but it packs so many awesome experiences into the four days that we couldn't come up with anything that we would have bypassed in trade for a more relaxed schedule. The four day was a good choice, if you have the time. The hotels, tents, and meals were great. The only caution would be to ask for a menu at the meals. The lunches are not included in the tour price, but you are brought to a restaurant that will just begin serving you their fixed menu, unless you first ask for a menu. Also, drinks are generally extra with ALL meals, so make sure you are comfortable with the price of the bottle of wine, or soft drinks, BEFORE ordering. Armed with that one little piece of prior knowledge, you are in store for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Shukran!

Travelling as a group of three, we had the privilege of having Tarik as our driver. Tarik is an excellent driver, and very knowledgeable with sights to see and the best cafes/ restaurants to stop and have lunch. Tarik collected us in Fes and over the next four days drove us to our luxury desert camp, arriving to see the sun setting. The accommodation at the camp was comfortable and everything was well organized. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our camel ride late in the afternoon was wonderful. I highly recommend Tarik as a driver, he was polite and helpful and informative to talk to. He certainly added to our experience.

What an amazing excursion from start to finish! Every stop along the way was such a great experience, and everything felt so well organised. A huge thank you to our driver Abdul — he was so friendly, helpful, and kept us entertained the whole journey. The communication beforehand was super easy and efficient, and they even helped us organise a little surprise for a friend’s birthday, which made it extra special. The absolute highlight for me was the Sahara — riding camels and watching the sunset over the dunes is a memory I’ll carry with me forever. 🌅🐪💛

Jad was an excellent tour guide and driver. Very informative and always on time picking us up. He always made sure we were comfortable and had water in the car for the trip each morning. We were very happy with the accommodations. I would highly recommend him to anyone that decides to come to Marrakech and take one of your tours. Jim Fidler
