We had a great half-day tour to two excellent wineries in the Parma Hills. Communication was effective and friendly. The day was well-planned, and all the tasting were provided by knowledgeable and friendly sommeliers at each winery. We also enjoyed light local food products paired with the wines at each location. Our driver and vehicle were on-time, friendly, clean. I recommend Food Valley Travel E Leisure for planning your next tour.

What an incredible experience this was! My wife, parents, and I opted for the Gourmet Tour Full Day with the driver picking us up in Bologna and the whole experience was magical, eye-opening, fun, and above all else, TASTY! Both our driver and our tour guide Monica were such sweet and welcoming people who clearly care a great deal about their home and share the passion for the food produced by this special part of the world. Every place we visited was a feast for the senses in addition to being education. A highlight for us was certainly the lunch at a gorgeous countryside farm to table restaurant. The whole experience felt like our own personal episode of "Somebody Feed Phil" and was well worth the price of admission! Don't hesitate to treat yourself to one of Food Valley's fine tours on your trip in Italy :)

We chose The Big Fives private tour and it was the perfect introduction to Emilia-Romagnan cuisine! Our guide, Monica, expertly toured us through the making of parmigiano reggiano cheese, culatello (such a treat!), various wines, and prosciutto before we visited a fifth-generation balsamic vinegar operation on our own. We even got to stop for photos of the impressive Castello di Torrechiara along the way. Monica was excellent, the food was superb, and it was great getting to try so many iconic Parma foods in a single day. Note: Drive times between destinations can be up to an hour, which we didn't mind but can apparently be frustrating for some. We were just excited to see more of Italy!

We chose to ride bicycles around the countryside to a local dairy farm that makes parmigiano reggiano and other cheeses. Andrea was friendly, knowledgeable, conscientious and an overall excellent guide. Afterward a driver took us to a winery where we enjoyed a light lunch with cured meats and pasta, and of course the bubbly wines typical of Parma. Overall an excellent day!

The Highlander Tour was absolutely insane and totally affordable. I was looking for an affordable shared tour from Parma and found one of my highlights in Italy. We were 19 people on a Friday. The bus driver was extremely nice and punctual. Most importantly, the visits in the factories were remarkable. The explanations were outstanding and there was no lack of tastings. I can recommend this tour to anyone who likes to know how traditional Italian food is actually being made.
