What a fantastic experience! So glad I found this charming tea farm and wonderful hosts. We had such a good time and learned so much about tea! Their website is a little tricky to book from but you can email in English or find them on Instagram. It was easy to get to from taxi and they called a taxi for us when we were done to return back to town. Definitely recommend a visit!

We created our own "excursion" away from our cruise ship. Our guide and interpreter were both excellent! The tea tasting was delicious and informative. We bought several bags of the tea we tasted. The genmaicha is a delightfully unique flavor. We are so happy to have chosen to visit the tea farm!!
What an amazing place. We toured Moriuchi Tea in June, and it was a highlight of our trip to Japan. Japanese green tea is my favorite, and this was the perfect way to gain a deeper understanding. The farm is about a 20-minute ride from Shizuoka station. The tea fields are beautiful, as is the tea room in the farm house. The tea tasting was amazing! Our guide, Asako, prepared a competition-grade tea, four senchas of different cultivars, and a kabusecha. All were excellent. Asako was welcoming, knowledgeable, and endlessly kind in answering our many questions. An experience we will treasure!
