This is an excellent tour that starts and finishes in the area local to Mount Fuji. I worked with Johnny a few months before we travelled to Japan to discuss our requirements and arrange the tour. Johnny was extremely easy to work with and very knowledgeable. On the day of the tour we were picked up on time with easy communications on WhatsApp. Our tour guide for the day was Chihiro, who was very knowledgeable and fun. We were lucky with the weather and had a very memorable tour of the area with amazing views of Mount Fuji. We stopped off for lunch at a local ramen place that was very unique and tasty. Johnny also gave us a great restaurant recommendation for that evening which was amazing and would never have found it by ourselves. Overall really memorable and well organised tour, that was fun and explored the local sights. Highly recommended.
Hands down the best tour of our Japan trip. We were so very lucky to find Johnny for our exclusive Kawaguchiko day tour. He was an absolutely fantastic guide, taking us through the hidden gems of the Mount Fuji lake area that you would never be able to discover with the bigger guided tours. Im so glad it worked out to be a perfect itinerary for our group that involved 3 generations ( youngest 14yrs and eldest 78yrs). We were all kept engaged and super interested. Johnny is so genuine, friendly, considerate, professional, easygoing and passionate about his work. It was great fun, learning about the culture, history and different aspects of the landscape. He also takes all your pics leaving you to be present in the moment. We had the best day exploring this area and couldn’t have covered all that we did otherwise !! One of the best experience ever. Johnny was really qualified, very attentive to our needs. And he is a very funny and nice man. We visited some secret spots, not too turistic or crowded. He also suggest us a really nice place to eat a typical dish, and let us discover a place to drink a good espresso. I will surely recommend this tour.
Wow! This was our family's favorite activity on our whole Japan trip! If you want to enjoy nature and see hidden gems around Mt. Fuji and enjoy a day with a great guide then book this tour! Johnny is so friendly and kind that it was fun to hang out with him all day and he is very knowledgeable about all of the places he visits and he brought us to so many fun and unique spots. He's from Canada so he speaks perfect English but he lives locally and is very knowledgeable about the area. We visited multiple shrines, went on two short hikes, visited a waterfall, a recreated old village, ate at my favorite restaurant of the trip and had lots of amazing views of Mt. Fuji all day. If you enjoy nature and shrines then this is the most fun way to see Mt. Fuji for the day! If you don't have a car in Kawaguchiko you won't be able to get to the spots he takes you to and even if you do have a car, if you're not a local you won't know about many of the amazing spots he visits. He made the tour relaxing but we also got to visit many different places. And as a bonus, he also took amazing photos/videos that he sent to us and they are the best pictures we have of our whole Japan trip. We had so much fun on this tour, thank you for an amazing day!
For the brief two days, I was to have in the Kawaguchiko, Mount Fuji area, the predicted weather did not seem to include good views of Mount Fuji. By Absolute stroke of luck, I found Johhny’s Tours and had a spectacular time! We had brief opportunities to see Mount Fuji, and Johhny knew how to optimize those and to make the best use of the time that we had. Johhny is extremely knowledgeable of the area, of the history and of how to see places most tourists don’t see and, most of all, to avoid the crowds! He is great fun, tailored the tour to my interests, and provided interesting and engaging information about all of the sites we visited. It was amazing what we could fit into one day. My Japanese tour leader and I had done an extensive search to find a tour of the Kawaguchiko, Mount Fuji area, and no one can do what he does! I highly recommend Johhny’s Fuji Kawaguchiko Tours!
