Champagne is a very old region rich in heritage and culture. But beyond the champagne wines, the region offers another aspect of France - rural and peaceful in contrast with bustle of Paris. Only 2 hours from Paris, I highly recommend a visit!
What a memorable experience and it has certainly gone much deeper than any Champagne tasting experience! Trong, our guild and chauffeur, is a true ambassador of the city, took us a full day experience of what Champagne is about, from the vineyard to the wineries, to the table, as well as its rich history, culture, and value - Lunch is lunch. And our lunch arrangement was top notch at a beautiful restaurant. Yum! The itinerary is well planned and thoughtful. Trong is passionate about his city and anything about it, which we could feel. The day went by so quickly and many of the stories, knowledge, and experiences that he shared still remain! Champagne lies 90 miles or 140 km North East Paris, 45 minutes by the fast train and 2 hours by car. It’s definitely worth to spend at least a day from your schedule to visit this beautiful region.
What a fantastic tour, full of fun, surprises and delicious champagne. We spent the day immersed in the rich culture, learning not only about champagne, but about the history of the region and the French way of life. From start to finish, Trong was an amazing tour guide that truly personalized the experience. Until booking this tour, I never realized Paris was so close to Champagne (90 miles/140 km Northeast)— only 45 minutes by the fast train or 2 short hours by car. I’m glad I found it, as this was one of the best experiences I’ve had while visiting Paris.
This was our very best tour of many in the Paris and surrounding areas! Trong is brilliant and fun, with so much knowledge. He taught us so much about Champagne, and it was fun to see his great interaction with the local business owners. We saw real work behind the scenes, and tasted beautiful end product Champagne! Additionally, an incredible lunch, tour of Reims Cathedral, and a few surprises from Trong to really add sparkle to the day. Exceeded our expectations & we highly recommend this tour!
This tour was such a highlight of our first-ever stay in Paris. The tour takes you from Paris to the Champagne region, which is 1.5 hrs away from Paris and perfect for a day trip. The guide is lovely and very knowledgable - you learn about how Champagne is made, and the history of the region. The tour includes breakfast & fresh coffee, and picks you up from your lodging for your day in Champagne. We stopped at a small family-owned Champagne house for a tour and tasting, and a larger Champagne house - both were amazing. You also get to visit Reims for an amazing lunch (which is included in the tour cost), and a walking tour of the historic city + access to the gorgeous Cathedral. It was such a fun day filled with amazing bubbles and meals, we highly recommend it! The tour group is small and intimate, which really helped make the experience wonderful.
