We booked this a day before the trip. It was low effort to get on board, and they let us bring our own wine; they had snacks, gave us touristic patter explaining what we were seeing, and what we were seeing was amazing. We booked the 17:00 cruise, and it's two hours, so we got to see the sunset. They passed out blankets when it started to get chilly. Our one warning (not their fault at all) is we used public transit to get there, and the last twelve minutes were a pretty intense walk down a narrow, steep road with no sidewalk, which was no fun, and we were a little late as a result. Plan better than we did! Bring a jacket and sunblock, you'll need both (I used an umbrella as a parasol, because I'm a wilting flower). Our hosts were Inês and Antonio.
Antonio and Ines were amazing. Extremely smooth ride and loved their knowledge share on the city’s history. Ines should be a photographer with how she helped us set up angles and pose. 100% recommend! Also, take their recommendation on where to have lunch after! Casa do Pescador was amazing. The seafood rice for one was enough for four people :)
This was the perfect private sunset tour that we were wanting. The service was exceptional and the tour, informative. The sailing was smooth, the wine was cold and the blankets were warm! We would highly recommend for a small group from 4 guest to 10!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely unforgettable experience with Douro Sailing! Captain António was skilled and welcoming, and our guide Inês made the trip truly special. She shared so many fun and fascinating facts about Porto with great energy and humor, it felt like a private insider’s tour. The boat itself was beautiful, and we enjoyed a lovely snack paired with delicious Port wine while sailing through the breathtaking Douro River. To top it off, Inês took fantastic individual photos of us, capturing perfect memories of the day. Thank you both so much for this magical experience! ❤️❤️❤️
António and Ines were incredible as a captain/host team. They were friendly and accommodating, giving us historical tidbits and recommendations. Everyone had an excellent time, enjoying the wine and snacks, conversation, and beautiful views. We booked the tour on AirBnB on a whim- I’m so glad we did!
