Come here to watch one of the most popular puppet shows, the Guignols. Fun moments for both kids and adults! Highly recommended.
I got lucky and enjoyed a brilliant guided tour by one of their team members Zoe ... I am not sure if everybody can have a tour - it depends on the theatre schedule - but if you are interested in theatre then I definitely recommend going and check their website for ticketed shows. The puppets are beautiful, amusing and some are a bit scary - scary in a good way 🤣 I will be returning next year to see a show hopefully, this theatre has a fascinating history and the people working there are highly skilled, passionate and friendly 💖 a jewel in Lyon's crown 👑🇫🇷🎭🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Great puppet show, absolutely children's favorite. If I visit Lyon Next time, I will be back. However, 100+ people in a tiny space with limited ventilation, many people did not even wear mask during the show...this is probably not the best place to be during current situation (Dec 2021). Potentially my daughter got COVID here. Also, French government needs to tighten up the COVID pass check to link with ID, like Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium. I feel for all impacted by the pandemic, and I choose to keep traveling in order to show my support, but loosing up the control and ignoring the fact that the virus is still there are not the right way to get thru this.
It's really nice to watch such traditional Guignol show, impressive, super for kids! Just it's all in French, would be a bit difficult to get the show if you don't understand a little French.
