Departing from the Kinlay Hostel on Merchants Road in Galway, your journey begins with a fully trained, local driver/guide who will lead you along the stunning Wild Atlantic Way. As you drive through the lunar-like landscape of the Burren, you’ll pass through charming villages such as Clarenbridge, Kilcolgan, Ballindereen, Kinvara, and Ballyvaughan. Along the way, you’ll be treated to views of medieval ruins, 16th-century tower house castles, churches, graveyards, and picturesque quays and harbors. The route also offers a chance to spot ponies, cows, sheep, and possibly even a leprechaun or two as you make your way south through County Clare.
Upon reaching Doolin, you’ll board the ferry to Inisheer, the smallest of the three Aran Islands located in Galway Bay. As you cross, keep an eye out for the local bottlenose dolphins that sometimes follow the ferry. Once on Inisheer, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the island at your leisure. Wander through narrow lanes, visit ancient castles and churches, or relax on the island’s deserted white sand beaches. You can even hire a bike or a pony and trap to fully explore the island's rich history and rugged beauty. Afterward, the return ferry offers a scenic cruise along the base of the Cliffs of Moher, providing spectacular views of this famous natural landmark.
On your return to Doolin, your driver/guide will take you to the top of the Cliffs of Moher, where you’ll have at least an hour to take in the breathtaking views of the cliffs and the vast ocean below. The entry fee to the eco-friendly Atlantic Edge Visitor Centre is included, where you can learn more about the area’s natural history. You can stroll along the cliff’s edge and enjoy panoramic views of the 214-meter-high cliffs, which stretch for 8 kilometers along the coast. This tour is an unforgettable experience, combining natural beauty, history, and stunning landscapes, all guided by an expert local guide.

We took the Aran Ferry from/to Rossavel on October 8th to/from Inis Mor...the people at this company were helpful in answering my questions prior to our arrival. The crew were also nice and professional. My sole complaint, and it's a very minor one...the music choice on the public system was awful...coming and going...soothing...is better, not the employees' home play. :-)

Best tour you can do to see the Aran islands and the cliffs of moher. The tour guide Alan is so funny, gives a lot of informations and takes good care of the group. Time was running and we go home with a bag full of memories.

Had an absolutely amazing time with Wild Atlantic! We went to Inisheer and the Cliffs of Moher, and it was honestly one of the best days of our trip. Alan and his son Nathan were awesome — super friendly, funny, and full of great info. You can tell they really love what they do. The views were unreal, the ferry ride was beautiful, and the whole day just flowed perfectly. Would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Ireland. Can’t wait to do it again!

I went to Inis Mor from Galway City.. The winds were strong & the sea was choppy. On boarding, the staff were welcoming and helpful getting people seated. Early into the trip passengers started getting sick. All the staff were on the ball, handing out sickness bags and helping several people outside on deck. I was very impressed on how every single one of the staff (Criu) helped. On returning, I think the Captain made a great decision in skipping the viewing of the Cliffs of Moher, to head back directly to Galway. Aodan & Robert were outstanding in dealing with the challenging trip, as were the other crew, whose names I can't remember. I had full confidence in Aran Island Ferries and I will use them again.

Pavel is an excellent guide and driver. He shared tons of information on the region and its history and took care of the group’s accommodations. I can’t wait to come back again.

Alan was an amazing tour guide!!! 10 stars to him. Sights were amazing too!

Took the tour to Inis Mor. Had an excellent mini bus driver names Stephen.who gave us the history of the island and some science also - yeah! So glad we did that rather than bikes as it rained a little. We also ate at a wonderful place - see pic.

It was awesome!!! Such an amazing way to see everything!! What a great day!! I get really sea sick so beware before the boat ride. So worth it to see the cliffs from land and sea!!!

This was one of my favorite tours while in Ireland! I debated about this tour while planning, but I’m glad I did it! We got lucky with beautiful weather and calm seas, but the Aran Islands are breathtakingly beautiful and it was so cool to see the cliffs from the water! Our ship had a smaller open air upper deck and an enclosed lower deck. We sat in the lower deck on the way there, but were able to snag an upper deck seat on the way back! The crew was so wonderful and caring, making sure everyone was comfortable and got good views of the cliffs! They even did a little spin around of the boat so everyone got to see! I would highly recommend this tour!! Tour: Inis Mor and Cliffs from Galway

We had an amazing day! The weather could not have been kinder. The journey both ways were exceedingly calm. Our time in Inis Mor was wonderful. We walked to the Temple of Beanan for a beautiful view of the island. The Cliffs of Moher were magnificent to see from the water. My husband lost his glasses on the ferry. They were found and Anna, from the office and the crew could not have been more helpful in returning them to us. You couldn’t ask for better service. Thank you again. This is a must-do experience.
